ASUS W3, W5 & V6 Sonoma Notebook Series Launch

Introduction

I was very fortunate to be asked by Adrian to attend the launching of the new ASUS W3, W5 and V6 notebook series at Modesto, Mont Kiara. It was a real privilege, as only invited guests were allowed to witness the launch.

Zen also joined us at the event. Both Zen and I had to take half the day off from work just to attend the launch which was held on March 23rd. The event was to last from 2:30 pm until 5:30 pm.

We arrived there 15 minutes early and Ms. Patricia Chew, the ASUS Marketing Specialist was already there to greet us. We had to wait till 2:30 pm before we could get seated but it was okay. Her sweet smile made the long wait seemed like an instant.

We also met with ZuePhOk, who was there with his compatriots from CHiP. The famous Tan Kit Hoong from In.Tech was also there. Adrian had a brief chat with him while we were waiting for the event to start.

So, what's in it for all of us in this three hour event? Can't guess? Of course, it has to be ASUS' latest range of notebooks!!! Haha… Lame? Well, there's more to it actually. ASUS Malaysia was a very generous host.

Conducive environment

For starters, the event was held at Modesto's and that itself speaks volume of how much ASUS appreciated the presence of those invited. The environment there was just so conducive for the launch.

ASUS also had really nice door gifts for those who attended, including a nice copy of their ASUSWorld magazine!
