Malaysians can now enjoy 1GB of FREE mobile Internet 24/7 until the end of the year! Here is everything you need to know!
Enjoy Your 1GB FREE Internet 24/7 Until 31 Dec 2020!
On the day Malaysia announced that schools would full reopen, five telcos – Celcom, Maxis, Telekom Malaysia, Digi, and U Mobile, announced an extension of the free 1GB Internet.
You may recall that the free 1GB Internet quota was provided as part of the Malaysian government’s Short-Term Economic Recovery Plan (ERP).
The problem with that was – the free Internet data was only available from 8 AM until 6 PM.
Free 1GB Internet For Full 24 Hours
Effective immediately, the free daily 1GB Internet would be usable for the full 24 hours.
Free 1GB Internet Daily, Until 31 December
The daily free 1GB Internet will be provided until 31 December 2020. This is on top of your existing plan’s Internet quota.
If your plan comes with 1GB of Internet every month, you will receive 31GB of Internet for the whole month : 1GB + 30GB (in a month with 30 days).
Not For Fun And Games
The daily 1GB Internet quota can be used for everything, except social media, video streaming, gaming and music streaming.
Free Access To Essential Services
On top of the daily 1GB Internet quota, they will continue to provide free and unlimited access to essential COVID-19 related apps and services, like :
- MySejahtera and MyTrace apps
- CPRC Hotline
- Malaysia Ministry of Health and World Health Organization websites
