2021 School Term + Holiday Calendars Confirmed!

The Malaysia Ministry of Education just released the official 2021 school term and holiday calendars!

Check them out, and get prepared for the new school term!

 

2021 School Term + Holiday Calendars Confirmed!

On 2 January 2020, the Malaysia Ministry of Education (MOE) released the 2021 school term and holiday calendars!

This officially confirms the reopening of all public, private and international schools, even though we have not blunted the curve of the third COVID-19 wave.

The MOE also confirmed that schools in the CMCO / PKPB areas will reopen as well.

However, they stressed that all educational institutions are subject to the Management and Operation Guidelines for Schools in the New Normal.

 

2021 School Term Calendars

Group A

States : Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu

The 2021 school session will start on 20 January 2021 and end on 9 December 2021 for Group A states.

Group B

States : Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, Putrajaya

The 2021 school session will start on 20 January 2021 and end on 10 December 2021 for Group B states.

 

2021 School Public Holiday Calendar

The Ministry of Education also finalised the public holiday calendar for Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, Hari Kaamatan, Hari Gawai Dayak, Deepavali and Christmas.

All schools are required to follow the additional holidays for Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Aidil Fitri and Deevapali, which will not need to be replaced.
