The COVID-19 pandemic has thoroughly screwed up the school term and holidays. Instead of starting in January and ending in December, the new term now starts in March and every year will have two “academic years”.
This is quite confusing for many of us parents, so here is a quick summary of the school days and holidays for the year 2023.
Instead of looking at the 2023-2024 academic year, we are going to look at the school days and holidays for the calendar year of 2023.

2023 School Days + Holidays For Malaysia!
I created these tables of the 2023 school days + holidays based on the latest academic calendars provided by the Malaysia Ministry of Education (KPM).
Please note that there is an extra 7 days of holidays in March 2023.
