Claim : British Police Attacked Muslim Girl In Interview Room!
The Muslim community on Facebook keeps sharing this viral video over and over again. Posted by Muslims apologists like Akk Kaan and Junaid Akram, it purportedly showed a British police officer attacking a Muslim girl in a police station. The shocking video was accompanied by this description :
Filthy British police attacked muslim girl in the interview room, reaping off her headscarf, punching on her face, grabbed on the hair and smashed her on the floor…
Even without watching the video, most people would have been extremely disgusted and angry. Many would probably share it to spread awareness before they even watched the video.
The video is shocking. The police officer brutally attacked the Muslim girl… apparently for no reason. But before you share it out in outrage, you might want to know that while this incident did happen, the story is completely bogus.

Truth : British Police Did Not Attack Muslim Girl!
The video that Akk Kaan or Junaid Akram shared was edited, with the lower part of the video cut off. This was done to remove the time code of the CCTV recording, which would have shown that this incident happened on November 26, 2012. So this was not a recent incident, as every repost has insinuated.
The police officer is British alright, but the victim is not a Muslim girl. What looked like a hijab in that blurry video is actually a brown woollen beanie cap, and a black scarf. They are clearly visible in the original video, which we had to remove due to YouTube restrictions.
We also prepared a screenshot that highlights why the girl was not wearing a hijab at all.
The incident did not happen in a police station’s interview room either. That was actually the security office of the Regent Street Uniqlo store in London.

الڤيديو صحيح. انتشر قبل عام، لكن نشره مسلمين بعد أن أخفيا تاريخه، وموضوعه الحقيقي غير ما ذكراه ناشريه، الذين قاما بحذف تاريخه الأصلي ٢٦ نوفمبر ٢٠١٢م.
والڤيديو يصور شرطي بريطاني، لكن الفتاة ليست مسلمة، وما يظهر كحجاب ليس سوى كيس من الصوف يوضع حول الرقبة، ووشاح أسود اللون. واضحين بالڤيديو الأصلي.
كما أن القصة لم تكن في قسم شرطة، بل كان في غرفة تابعة للأمن الخاص بمعرض يونيكلو بشارع ريجينت بلندن.
Constable James Kiddie was called to the Uniqlo store after security guards caught 30-year old Sarah Reed shoplifting. Constable James Kiddie claimed Sarah Reed bit him on his finger, and then told him she had AIDS. That’s when he attacked her.
The incident was reported by a fellow officer and he was charged in court. According to Sarah’s lawyer,
As seen in the video footage played to the court, PC Kiddie threw Ms Reed to the floor, where a light bulb smashed and caused her to suffer a two centimetre laceration to her lower back, this was followed by three powerful strikes aimed at Ms Reed’s head.
Constable Kiddie was sacked from the Metropolitan Police, sentenced to 150 hours of community service, and fined £560.
Sarah Reed, a known drug addict, was later convicted of shoplifting.

أُستدعي الشرطي جيمس كيدي إلى معرض يونيكلو بعد أن ضبط الأمن السيدة ساره رييد، ٣٠ عاماً، وهي تسرق. أدعى الشرطي جيمس كيدي بأن ساره قامت بعض صباعه، وقالت له بأنها مصابة بالإيدز. وهذا حينما قام بالتعدي عليها.قام زميله بالإبلاغ عن الحادثة وتم توجيه تهمة الاعتداء ضده. وبناءً على ما ذكره محامي ساره، تم طرد الشرطي جيمس كيدي من سلك شرطة العاصمة، وحُكم عليه بقضاء ١٥٠ ساعة عمل في خدمة اجتماعية وتغريمه ٥٦٠£.
أما ساره رييد، مدمنة مخدرات معروفة، فقد أثبتت عليها تهمة السرقة من المحل.
I should point out that lying is a SIN in Islam. In fact it is considered the most wicked of crimes. Here are selected quotes from the Quran on lying and making false accusations :
“The curse of Allah be upon him if he should be among the liars.” [Quran 24:7]
“Indeed Allah does not guide one who is a transgressor and a liar.” [Quran 40:28]
“Do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it].” [Quran 2:42]
People would do well to remember them, and STOP making up false stories to instigate hatred and division.
