To : Keysight Employees and Non-Keysight Workers in Penang

It has come to our attention that an employee could possibly have been exposed to COVID-19. The employee has not shown any flu-like symptoms.

While the site is not under any serious threat, the management with an abundance of caution, has decided to take proactive actions to safeguard the health of all our employees.

  • We will be closing the Penang campus temporarily effective tomorrow 12 March until Sunday 15 March to perform sanitization and deep cleaning of the site
  • We are directing all employees and non-Keysight workers – without exception – to work from home from tomorrow 12 March until further notice and at least until Sunday 15 March. Look out for more information via MALAYSIA COMMUNICATIONS email by 5.00pm, Sunday 15 March
  • You are all required to leave the site by 7.00pm today.

As you leave the site and while you work from home, we urge you to be cognizant of the following matters:

  • Remember to bring everything you will need from the office to help you work-from-home.
  • Be contactable via phone, email, Jabber etc. throughout the work-from-home period.
  • Adhere to Keysight’s latest Corporate Guidelines on health, safety, working from home and IT. Read it now at Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Updates.
  • Monitor your own health and report the status of your health to your direct manager on a daily basis.
  • Take your own proactive actions to stay healthy.
  • Do not speculate or proliferate any unverified information. Only obtain information from official sources.

Do keep in touch with your managers if you have any enquiries or if you need any support.

We realize the disruption that this causes to your work plans, but as always, the health and safety of our employees and their families is paramount. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Stay safe and healthy!

Here is a copy of the email that was issued to all Keysight employees and non-Keysight workers at their Penang campus.

COVID-19 : Keysight Penang Temporary Closure Confirmed!

It is important to note that the Keysight Penang employee has NOT been diagnosed as COVID-19 positive.

Although this remains a possibility – the Motorola Solutions engineer did end up being diagnosed as COVID-19 positive – that is not yet the case.

A different source told us that it is really just a precautionary step to sanitise the campus.
