COVID-19 Success In Malaysia : 20 Discharged, 2 Left!

The Malaysia Ministry of Health reported that TWO more COVID-19 patients have fully recovered and were discharged today, in addition to one discharged two days ago!

That leaves only TWO (2) COVID-19 patients in Malaysia, as no new patients have been detected since patients #20, #21 and #22 two weeks ago.

The Director General of Health, Malaysia Ministry of Health, Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, announced that two more COVID-19 patients – cases #14 and #19 have fully recovered, and were discharged yesterday!

In addition to patient #13 discharged on 22 February, that means there are only just TWO (2) more COVID-19 patients in Malaysia! MalaysiaBoleh!

COVID-19 Success In Malaysia : 20 Discharged, 2 Left!

Today, two (2) more patients have fully recovered and have been discharged well. Both cases received treatment at Kuala Lumpur Hospital. These two (2) cases are:

• Case 14: 37 year-old female, Chinese national, who was confirmed with COVID-19 infection on 5 February 2020.

• Case 19: 38 year-old female, Chinese national, who was confirmed with COVID-19 infection on 12 February 2020.

In total, 20 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well, with two (2) cases still receiving treatment in hospitals and are in stable conditions.

As of 24 February 2020, cumulatively a total of 22 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported to in Malaysia. No further increase in the last 7 days.

Two days ago, patient #13 was discharged :

One (1) more patient has fully recovered and has been discharged well on 22 February 2020.

She is Case 13, a 40-year-old female, Malaysian, who was confirmed with COVID-19 infection on 5 February 2020 and was treated at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, Alor Setar.

COVID-19 : How To Keep Safe!

COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 19) is new and scary, but we are more likely to be infected and killed by the influenza virus.

We just need to practice a few simple steps to stay safe :

  • Avoid suspected cases or disease hotpots, like hospitals, if possible!
  • Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
  • Keep our home, office, vehicles, etc. clean
  • If you need to wear a surgical mask, make sure you put it on and remove it properly!
  • Thoroughly cook your food, and boil water before drinking
