The Malaysia Ministry of Health reported that TWO more COVID-19 patients have fully recovered and were discharged today, but sadly a NEW CASE has also been reported!
We were so close to zero COVID-19 cases in Malaysia… SO CLOSE! Arrggghhhhh!!!
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 22 Discharged!
The Director General of Health, Malaysia Ministry of Health, Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, announced that two more COVID-19 patients – cases #16 and #22 have fully recovered, and were discharged yesterday!
Terkini, KKM ingin memaklumkan dua (2) kes iaitu kes ke-16 dan kes ke-22 yang disahkan positif COVID-19 sebelum ini telah pulih sepenuhnya dan dibenarkan discaj daripada wad pada hari ini.
Kes ke-16 merupakan seorang wanita warganegara China berumur 67 tahun yang mendapat rawatan di Hospital Kuala Lumpur. Manakala kes ke-22 ialah seorang warganegara Amerika Syarikat yang mendapat rawatan di Hospital Sungai Buloh. Justeru, seramai 22 orang telah pulih sepenuhnya dan telah discaj daripada wad.

The Malaysia Ministry of Health would like to announce that two (2) cases, that is case 16 and case 22 that were confirmed COVID-19 positive have fully recovered, and allowed to be discharged today.
Case 16 was a 67-year old Chinese citizen treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital. Meanwhile case 22 was an American citizen treated at the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
With that, 22 patients have fully recovered and discharged from their wards.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : One New Case!
Unfortunately, a new COVID-19 case was also reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) today.
Kes ke-23 ini merupakan seorang wanita berusia 53 tahun warganegara Malaysia. Beliau mempunyai sejarah perjalanan ke negara Jepun baru-baru ini. Apabila pulang dari Jepun pada 23 Februari 2020, pesakit telah mula mempunyai gejala demam pada keesokan harinya dan telah mendapat rawatan di sebuah hospital di Kuala Lumpur. Ujian pengesanan COVID-19 diambil bagi kes ini dan disahkan positif pada 27 Februari 2020.
Sehingga 27 Februari 2020, seramai 1,569 individu telah diambil sampel bagi pengesanan COVID-19. Mereka terdiri daripada Patient-under-investigation (PUI), kontak rapat, Misi Bantuan Kemanusian dan kapal persiaran Dream World. Daripada jumlah ini, sebanyak 23 kes disahkan positif COVID-19, sebanyak 1,523 adalah negatif dan 23 masih menunggu keputusan makmal.

Case 23 is a 53-year old Malaysian citizen with a history of travel to Japan recently. After returning from Japan on 23 February 2020, she had a fever the next day and sought treatment at a hospital in Kuala Lumpur. A COVID-19 test was performed, and confirmed positive on 27 February 2020.
As of 27 February 2020, a total of 1,569 individuals had their samples tested for COVID-19. They are made up of Patient-Under-Investigation (PUI), close contacts, members of the Humanitarian Assistance Mission, and passengers from the Dream World cruise ship.
From that total, 23 cases were confirmed positive for COVID-19, while 1,523 were negative and 23 others are awaiting their lab results.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 19) is new and scary, but we are more likely to be infected and killed by the influenza virus.
We just need to practice a few simple steps to stay safe :
- Avoid suspected cases or disease hotpots, like hospitals, if possible!
- Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
- Keep our home, office, vehicles, etc. clean
- If you need to wear a surgical mask, make sure you put it on and remove it properly!
- Thoroughly cook your food, and boil water before drinking
