Malaysia today recorded 156 new COVID-19 cases and THREE deaths, but also discharged 91 patients who have fully recovered!
Here are the updates on COVID-19 in Malaysia on 30 March 2020…
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 68 More Patients Recovered!
As of 12 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another ninety one (91) patients have fully recovered, and been discharged from hospital.
That means a total of 479 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far!
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 156 New Cases!
They identified 156 new COVID-19 cases today – bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 2626.
They also shared that the number of COVID-19 cases in the ICU increased by 21 patients to ninety four (94), with ten more patients requiring respiratory support – sixty two (62) at the current count.
Here is the breakdown of cases by state. As of yesterday, Selangor has the highest number at 579 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur with 344 cases, and Johor with 285 cases.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : THREE Deaths Today
The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced THREE deaths today, which means a total of 37 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia.
35th Death : Case 1952 was a 57 year-old Malaysian citizen with a history of travel to Indonesia. He was symptomatic for 5 days before being admitted to the Putrajaya Hospital on 17 March 2020.
He was confirmed COVID-19 positive on 18 March 2020, and transferred to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital and finally, the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
Unfortunately, his health deteriorated day-to-day, and he passed away at 4:00 PM on 29 March 2020.
36th Death : Case 1941 was a 47 year-old Malaysian man, who was treated in the Sarawak General Hospital on 23 March 2020, but passed away at 8:10 AM on 30 March 2020.
37th Death : Case 2471 was a 46 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of high blood pressure and an autoimmune disease. She was treated at the Miri Hospital, but passed away at 9:02 AM on 30 March 2020.

Day 13 Of Movement Control Order In Malaysia
Today marks the 13rd day of the nationwide lockdown on travel, work and business in Malaysia, which has been extended until 14 April, 2020.
The Malaysian government just announced that they will place Menara City One under Enhanced MCO for the next two weeks, from 31 March until 13 April 2020.
This is the third EMCO after Hulu Langat was placed under Enhanced MCO from 30 March until 13 April 2020. And follows the Enhanced MCO on two areas in Simpang Renggam from 27 March until 9 April 2020.

During this time, all government and private offices and businesses will be closed, except those providing essential services.
Although there are no restrictions on travel within Malaysia during this lockdown, you will have nowhere to go, as all shops will be closed, except supermarkets, grocery shops and convenience stores selling essential items.
Schools, colleges, universities, cinemas, and so on, will also be closed. Cafes and restaurants will be closed for dine-in patrons, but you will be able to take-away food, or have them delivered to you.

Here are a few simple steps to stay safe from COVID-19 :

- Avoid public events and crowds
