Malaysia today recorded 71 new COVID-19 cases and TWO deaths, but also discharged 90 patients who have fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 90 More Patients Recovered!
As of 5:30 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 90 patients have fully recovered, and were discharged today!
That means a total of 3,542 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 63.2%.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 71 New Cases!
They identified 71 new COVID-19 cases today, raising the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 5603, with 1966 active cases.
They also shared that the number of COVID-19 cases in the ICU was reduced to 42, with four fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 21 at the current count.
Here is the breakdown of cases, according to states. Selangor maintained the highest total at 1,369 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur with 1,066 cases, and Johor with 651 cases.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : TWO Deaths Today
The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced TWO deaths today, which means a total of 95 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 1.70%.
Death #94 : Case 3871 was a 32 year-old Malaysian female, a KKM healthcare worker and close contact of Case 3662 (who was part of the Muar Specialist Hospital cluster). She had a history of hypertension, and was admitted to the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor on 6 April 2020, but passed away on 23 April 2020 at 12:36 AM.
Death #95 : Case 4129 was a 67 year-old Malaysian male, a close contact of Case 1575 (who was part of the Bali cluster in Kuantan). He had a history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and kidney disease. He was admitted to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital in Pahang on 8 April 2020, but passed away on 22 April 2020 at 11:48 PM.

Day 37 Of Movement Control Order In Malaysia
Today marks the 37th day of the nationwide lockdown on travel, work and business in Malaysia, which on 10 April was further extended until 28 April, 2020. It is also the 8th day of the third phase of the MCO.
During this time, all government and private offices and businesses will be closed, except those providing essential services.
Malaysians are to restrict their movement during this lockdown, with only a single person in each vehicle. All shops are also closed, except supermarkets, grocery shops and convenience stores selling essential items.
Schools, colleges, universities, cinemas, and so on, remain closed. Cafes and restaurants will be closed for dine-in patrons, but you will be able to take-away food, or have them delivered to you.

Here are a few simple steps to stay safe from COVID-19 :
- Avoid suspected cases or disease hotpots, like hospitals, if possible!
- Avoid public events and crowds
- Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
- Keep our home, office, vehicles, etc. clean
- If you need to wear a surgical mask, make sure you put it on and remove it properly!
- Wash your food with water (and soap) after purchase and before preparation
