Malaysia today recorded 69 new COVID-19 cases and ONE death, but discharged 39 patients who have fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 39 More Patients Recovered!
As of 4:30 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 39 patients have fully recovered, and were discharged today!
That means a total of 4,210 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 69.3%.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 69 New Cases!
They identified 69 new COVID-19 cases today, of which 12 cases were from overseas. This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 6071, with 1758 active cases.
They also shared that the number of COVID-19 cases in the ICU increased slightly to 37, with no change in patients requiring respiratory support – 14 at the current count.
Here is the breakdown of cases, according to states. Selangor maintained the highest total at 1,455 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur with 1,264 cases, and Johor with 666 cases.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : ONE Death Today
The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced ONE death today, which means a total of 103 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 1.70%.
Death #103 : Case 5441 was a 66 year-old Malaysian male who was a close contact of Case 4818. He had history of cancer, and was admitted to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital on 14 April 2020, but passed away on 30 April 2020 at 4:00 PM.

Day 45 Of Movement Control Order In Malaysia
Today marks the 45th day of the nationwide lockdown on travel, work and business in Malaysia, which on 23 April was further extended until 12 May, 2020. It is also the 3rd day of the 4th phase of the MCO.
During this time, all government and private offices and businesses will be closed, except those providing essential services. But up to two persons may go out to purchase essentials, or seek healthcare.

Malaysians are to restrict their movement during this lockdown, with only a single person in each vehicle. All shops are also closed, except supermarkets, grocery shops and convenience stores selling essential items.
Schools, colleges, universities, cinemas, and so on, remain closed. Cafes and restaurants will be closed for dine-in patrons, but you will be able to take-away food, or have them delivered to you.

COVID-19 : How To Keep Safe!
Here are a few simple steps to stay safe from COVID-19 :
- Avoid suspected cases or disease hotpots, like hospitals, if possible!
- Avoid public events and crowds
- Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
- Keep our home, office, vehicles, etc. clean
- If you need to wear a surgical mask, make sure you put it on and remove it properly!
- Wash your food with water (and soap) after purchase and before preparation
