COVID-19 in Malaysia : 6176 Cases, 4326 Healed, 103 Dead

Malaysia today recorded 105 new COVID-19 cases but NO death, and also discharged 116 patients who have fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 116 More Patients Recovered!

As of 4:30 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 116 patients have fully recovered, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 4,326 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 70.0%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 105 New Cases!

They identified 105 new COVID-19 cases today, of which 11 cases were from overseas. This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 6176, with 1747 active cases.

They also shared that the number of COVID-19 cases in the ICU dropped to 31, with two fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 12 at the current count.

Here is the breakdown of cases, according to states. Selangor maintained the highest total at 1,518 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur with 1,278 cases, and Johor with 667 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : NO Death Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced NO death today, which means a total of 103 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 1.67%.

Day 46 Of Movement Control Order In Malaysia

Today marks the 46th day of the nationwide lockdown on travel, work and business in Malaysia, which on 23 April was further extended until 12 May, 2020. It is also the 4th day of the 4th phase of the MCO.

During this time, all government and private offices and businesses will be closed, except those providing essential services. But up to two persons may go out to purchase essentials, or seek healthcare.

Malaysians are to restrict their movement during this lockdown, with only a single person in each vehicle. All shops are also closed, except supermarkets, grocery shops and convenience stores selling essential items.

Schools, colleges, universities, cinemas, and so on, remain closed. Cafes and restaurants will be closed for dine-in patrons, but you will be able to take-away food, or have them delivered to you.
