Malaysia today recorded 103 new COVID-19 cases and NO death, and discharged 63 patients who have fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 66 More Patients Recovered!
As of 5:00 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 66 patients have fully recovered, and were discharged today!
That means a total of 6,235 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 80.6%.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 103 New Cases!
They identified 103 new COVID-19 cases today – albeit, the 7th consecutive day without any deaths.
- 7 cases were imported from overseas
- 12 local cases are Malaysian citizens
- 84 local cases are non-Malaysian citizens – 53 cases from the Pedas cluster, and 24 cases from the cleaning company cluster
This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 7732, with 1382 active cases – an increase of 37 active cases.
They also shared that the number of COVID-19 cases in the ICU maintained at 8, with two fewer patients requiring respiratory support – just 2 at the current count.
Here is the breakdown of cases, according to states (as of yesterday). Kuala Lumpur surged to the top with 1,997 cases, followed by Selangor with 1,845 cases, and Negeri Sembilan with 793 cases.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : NO Death Today
The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced NO death today, which means a total of 115 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 1.49%.

Day 73 Of Movement Control Order In Malaysia
Today marks the 73rd day of the nationwide lockdown on travel, work and business in Malaysia, which was further extended until 9 May, 2020.
It is also the 30th day of the 4th phase of the MCO, and the 25th day of the Conditional MCO (CMCO) which started on 4 May 2020.
Under CMCO, businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

The Malaysian government has so far announced eight Enhanced MCOs :
- 3 Zones In PJ Old Town : 10 May until 23 May 2020
- 6 Parcels In Selayang Baru : 25 April until 3 May 2020
- 8 Parcels In Pusat Bandar Utara : 20 April until 3 May 2020
- Whole Masjid India Area : 14 April until 28 April 2020
- Selangor Mansion + Malayan Mansion : 7 April 2020 indefinitely
- Menara City One : 31 March until 13 April 2020
- Hulu Langat : 30 March until 13 April 2020
- Two areas in Simpang Renggam : 27 March until 9 April 2020
They also announced Semi Enhanced MCO for a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
COVID-19 : How To Keep Safe!
Here are a few simple steps to stay safe from COVID-19 :
- Avoid suspected cases or disease hotpots, like hospitals, if possible!
- Avoid public events and crowds
- Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
- Keep our home, office, vehicles, etc. clean
- If you need to wear a surgical mask, make sure you put it on and remove it properly!
