COVID-19 in Malaysia : 7819 Cases, 6353 Healed, 115 Dead

Malaysia today recorded 57 new COVID-19 cases and NO death, and discharged 23 patients who have fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 31 May 2020…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 23 More Patients Recovered!

As of 5:00 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 23 patients have fully recovered, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 6,353 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 81.6%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 57 New Cases!

They identified 57 new COVID-19 cases today.

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 7819, with 1351 active cases – an increase of 34 active cases.

They also shared that the number of COVID-19 cases in the ICU maintained at 9, with no change in patients requiring respiratory support – just 2 at the current count.

Here is the breakdown of cases, according to states (as of yesterday). Kuala Lumpur is firmly at the top with 2,020 cases, followed by Selangor with 1,878 cases, and Negeri Sembilan with 856 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : NO Death Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced NO death today – for the 8th consecutive day, which means a total of 115 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 1.47%.

Day 75 Of Movement Control Order In Malaysia

Today marks the 75th day of the nationwide lockdown on travel, work and business in Malaysia, which was further extended until 9 May, 2020.

It is also the 32nd day of the 4th phase of the MCO, and the 27th day of the Conditional MCO (CMCO) which started on 4 May 2020.

Under CMCO, businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

The Malaysian government has so far announced eight Enhanced MCOs :

They also announced Semi Enhanced MCO for a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
