COVID-19 Malaysia : 8336 Cases, 6975 Recovered, 117 Dead

Malaysia today recorded just 7 new COVID-19 cases and NO death, and discharged 281 patients who have fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 9 June 2020…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 281 More Patients Recovered!

At 5:30 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 281 patients have fully recovered, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 6,975 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 83.7%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 7 New Cases!

They identified 7 new COVID-19 cases today.

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 8336, with 1244 active cases – a decrease of 274 active cases.

They also shared that the number of COVID-19 cases in the ICU maintained at 6, with just one patient requiring respiratory support!

Here is the breakdown of cases, according to states (as of 8 June). Kuala Lumpur is firmly at the top with 2,394 cases, followed by Selangor with 1,968 cases, and Negeri Sembilan with 911 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : NO Death Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced NO death today, which means a total of 117 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 1.40%.

Day 84 Of Movement Control Order In Malaysia

Today marks the 84th day of the nationwide lockdown on travel, work and business in Malaysia, which was further extended until 9 May, 2020.

It is also the 41st day of the 4th phase of the MCO, and the 36th day of the Conditional MCO (CMCO) which started on 4 May 2020.

Under CMCO, businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

Schools, colleges, universities, cinemas, and so on, remain closed. Cafes and restaurants will be closed for dine-in patrons, but you will be able to take-away food, or have them delivered to you.

The Malaysian government has so far announced eight Enhanced MCOs :

They also announced Administrative Enhanced MCO for two areas in Banting, a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
