COVID-19 Malaysia : 8640 Cases, 8375 Recovered, 121 Dead

Malaysia today recorded just 1 new COVID-19 cases and NO death, and discharged 21 patients who have fully recovered! This is the best day ever, since the MCO started!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 1 July 2020…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 21 More Patients Recovered!

At 5 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 21 patients have fully recovered, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 8,375 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 96.9%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Just 1 New Case!

They identified just 1 new COVID-19 case today.

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 8640, with 144 active cases – a drop of 20 active cases, and the first day the number dropped below 150 after the MCO started.

They also shared that the number of COVID-19 cases in the ICU maintained at 4, with one additional patient requiring respiratory support – just 2.

Here is the breakdown of cases, according to states (as of 24 June 2020). Kuala Lumpur is firmly at the top with 2,430 cases, followed by Selangor with 2,032 cases, and Negeri Sembilan with 1,015 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : NO Death Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced NO death today, which means a total of 121 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 1.40%.

Day 22 Of Recovery Movement Control Order In Malaysia

Today marks the 22nd day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 August, 2020.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

Interstate travel is now allowed (except to Enhanced MCO / administrative restricted areas), as well as many sports facilities. However, entertainment outlets, theme parks and cinemas are still not allowed.

The Malaysian government has so far announced eight Enhanced MCOs :

They also announced Administrative Enhanced MCO for two areas in Banting, a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
