COVID-19 Malaysia : 9103 Cases, 8809 Recovered, 125 Dead

Malaysia today recorded 9 new COVID-19 cases and NO death, and discharged 6 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 6 More Patients Recovered!

At 5 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 6 patients fully recovered, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 8,809 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 96.8%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 9 New Cases!

They identified just 9 new COVID-19 cases today :

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 9103, with 169 active cases – an increase of 3 cases, and the 4th day Malaysia dropped below 200 active cases for the second time during the RMCO period.

They also shared that there is an additional patient in the ICU – just 2 right now, but no patient requiring respiratory support.

Here is the breakdown of cases, according to states. Kuala Lumpur is at the top with 2,513 cases, followed by Selangor with 2,139 cases, and Negeri Sembilan with 1,032 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : NO Death Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced NO death today, which means a total of 125 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 1.37%.

Day 61 Of Recovery Movement Control Order In Malaysia

Today marks the 61st day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 August, 2020.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

Interstate travel is now allowed (except to Enhanced MCO / administrative restricted areas), as well as many sports facilities. However, entertainment outlets, theme parks and cinemas are still not allowed.

The Malaysian government has so far announced eight Enhanced MCOs :

They also announced Administrative Enhanced MCO for two areas in Banting, a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
