COVID-19 Malaysia : 9628 Cases, 9167 Recovered, 128 Dead

Malaysia today reported a spike of 45 new COVID-19 cases, but NO death, and discharged 24 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 24 More Patients Recovered!

At 5 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 24 patients fully recovered, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 9,167 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 95.2%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 45 New Cases!

They identified 45 new COVID-19 cases today :

The Lahad Datu Benteng Cluster was first identified in the jail of the District Police Headquarters in Lahad Datu, Sabah.

In the first screening of 50 prisoners on 28 August, they detected 7 positive cases. However, that cluster has now resulted in :

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 9628, with 333 active cases – an increase of 21 cases, and the 2nd day Malaysia went above 300 active cases for the 2nd time during the RMCO period.

They also shared that there were two additional patients in the ICU – 9 cases right now, and one additional patient requiring respiratory support – 5 cases right now.

Here is the breakdown of cases, according to states (as of yesterday). Kuala Lumpur is at the top with 2,616 cases, followed by Selangor with 2,189 cases, and Negeri Sembilan with 1,039 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : NO Death Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced NO death today, which means a total of 128 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 1.33%.

Day 91 Of Recovery Movement Control Order In Malaysia

Today marks the 91st day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 December, 2020.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

Interstate travel is now allowed (except to Enhanced MCO / administrative restricted areas), as well as many sports facilities.

They also announced Administrative Enhanced MCO for two areas in Banting, a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
