COVID-19 Malaysia : 18758 Cases, 12259 Healed, 176 Dead

Malaysia today reported 629 new COVID-19 cases and 6 deaths, but also discharged 245 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 245 Patients Discharged!

At 6 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 245 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 12,259 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 65.4%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 629 New Cases!

The surge continues with 629 new COVID-19 cases

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 18,758, with 6,323 active cases – an increase of 378 cases, and the first day Malaysia has above 6000 active cases for the first time during the Recovery MCO period.

They also shared that there are four fewer patients in the ICU – 99 cases right now, and no change in patients requiring respiratory support – 31 cases right now.

Here is the breakdown of cases, according to states. Sabah is at the top with 6,286 cases, followed by Selangor with 3,014 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 2,824 cases, and Kedah with 1,890 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : SIX Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced SIX deaths today, which means a total of 176 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.94%.

Death #171 : Case 11,628 was a 66 year-old Malaysian male with a history of hypertension, diabetes, and stroke. He passed away in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Death #172 : Case 15,853 was a 72 year-old Malaysian male with a history of heart disease. He passed away in the Duchess of Kent Hospital.

Death #173 : Case 18,618 was a 39 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of stroke. He passed away in the Semporna Hospital.

Death #174 : Case 18,616 was a 74 year-old Malaysian female with a history of hypertension, diabetes, and kidney disease. She passed away in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Death #175 : Case 18,617 was a 67 year-old Malaysian male with a history of hypertension, heart disease, and stroke. He passed away in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Death #176 : Case 18,676 was a 52 year-old foreign male with a history of hypertension, heart disease, psoriasis and bone disease. He passed away in the University Malaya Medical Centre.

Day 127 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 127th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 December, 2020.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

Interstate travel is now allowed (except to Enhanced MCO / administrative restricted areas), as well as many sports facilities.

They also announced Administrative Enhanced MCO for two areas in Banting, a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
