COVID-19 Malaysia : 21363 Cases, 13717 Healed, 190 Dead

Malaysia reported 865 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths today, but also discharged 455 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 455 Patients Discharged!

At 5:30 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 455 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 13,717 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 64.2%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 865 New Cases!

The surge continues with 865 new COVID-19 cases!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 21,363, with 7,456 active cases – a whopping increase of 407 cases, and the second day Malaysia has above 7000 active cases for the first time during the Recovery MCO period.

They also shared that there are 13 additional patients in the ICU – 99 cases right now, and four additional patients requiring respiratory support – 32 cases right now.

Here is the breakdown of cases, according to states. Sabah is at the top with 8,082 cases, followed by Selangor with 3,357 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 2,853 cases, and Kedah with 1,940 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : THREE Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced THREE deaths today, which means a total of 187 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.89%.

Death #188 : Case 21,139 was an 85 year-old Malaysian male who passed away at the Tawau Hospital.

Death #189 : Case 21,140 was a 52 year-old foreign male, with a history of diabetes. He died in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Death #190 : Case 21,141 was a 70 year-old Malaysian female, who passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital.

Day 130 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 130th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 December, 2020.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

Interstate travel is now allowed (except to Enhanced MCO / administrative restricted areas), as well as many sports facilities.

The Malaysian government has so far announced several Enhanced MCOs :

They also announced Administrative Enhanced MCO for two areas in Banting, a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
