COVID-19 Malaysia : 26565 Cases, 17134 Healed, 229 Dead

Malaysia reported 823 new COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths today, but also discharged 579 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 25 October 2020…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 579 Patients Discharged!

At 6:30 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 579 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 17,134 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 64.5%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 823 New Cases!

The surge continues with 823 new COVID-19 cases!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 26,565, with 9,202 active cases – an increase of 236 cases, and the first day Malaysia has above 9000 active cases for the first time during the Recovery MCO period.

They also shared that there are seven additional patients in the ICU – 99 cases right now, and one fewer patient requiring respiratory support – 30 cases right now.

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states. Sabah is at the top with 11,818 cases, followed by Selangor with 3,968 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 2,949 cases, and Kedah with 2,045 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : EIGHT Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced EIGHT deaths today, which means a total of 229 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.86%.

Death #222 : Case 12,863 was a 77 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #223 : Case 15,329 was a 59 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #224 : Case 14,023 was a 70 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes. She passed away at the Lahad Datu Hospital in Sabah.

Death #225 : Case 22,032 was a 58 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #226 : Case 24,224 was a 34 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of obesity and chronic sleep apnoea syndrome. He passed away at the Tawau Hospital.

Death #227 : Case 26,273 was a 74 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of hypertension, and pulmonary tuberculosis. She passed away at the Tawau Hospital.

Death #228 : Case 26,274 was a 68 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and gout. He passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital.

Death #229 : Case 26,275 was an 80 year-old Malaysian female, who passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital.

Day 136 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 136th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 December, 2020.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

Interstate travel is now allowed (except to Enhanced MCO / administrative restricted areas), as well as many sports facilities.

They also announced Administrative Enhanced MCO for two areas in Banting, a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
