COVID-19 Malaysia : 27805 Cases, 17825 Healed, 236 Dead

Malaysia reported a record 1240 new COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths today, but also discharged 691 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 26 October 2020…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 691 Patients Discharged!

At 6 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 691 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 17,825 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 64.1%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1240 New Cases!

The surge continues with a record 1240 new COVID-19 cases!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 27,805, with 9,744 active cases – a shocking increase of 542 cases, and the second day Malaysia has above 9000 active cases for the first time during the Recovery MCO period.

They also shared that there are five fewer patients in the ICU – 94 cases right now, and one additional patient requiring respiratory support – 31 cases right now.

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states. Sabah is at the top with 12,745 cases, followed by Selangor with 4,145 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 2,966 cases, and Kedah with 2,048 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : SEVEN Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced SEVEN deaths today, which means a total of 236 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.86%.

Death #230 : Case 14,925 was a 67 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of sinusitis. He passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #231 : Case 15,854 was a 71 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. He passed away in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #232 : Case 16,508 was a 51 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #233 : Case 26,212 was a 61 year-old blind Malaysian male who passed away at the Tuaran Hospital in Sabah.

Death #234 : Case 25,353 was a 50 year-old foreign male, with a history of hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Death #235 : Case 27,491 was a 90 year-old foreign female, who passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital.

Death #236 : Case 27,492 was a 27 year-old foreign male, who passed away at the Tawau Hospital.

Day 137 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 137th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 December, 2020.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

Interstate travel is now allowed (except to Enhanced MCO / administrative restricted areas), as well as many sports facilities.

They also announced Administrative Enhanced MCO for two areas in Banting, a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
