COVID-19 Malaysia : 33339 Cases, 23120 Healed, 251 Dead

Malaysia reported 834 new COVID-19 cases and 2 deaths today, but discharged 900 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 2 November 2020…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 900 Patients Discharged!

At 6 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 900 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 23,120 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 69.3%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 834 New Cases!

The surge continues with 834 new COVID-19 cases!

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states. Sabah is at the top with 16,195 cases, followed by Selangor with 5,054 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 3,070 cases, and Kedah with 2,128 cases.

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 33,339, with 9,968 active cases – a drop of 68 cases, and the 1st day Malaysia dropped below 10,000 active cases during the Recovery MCO period.

They also shared that there are 6 fewer patients in the ICU – 91 cases right now, and 5 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 32 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : TWO Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced TWO deaths today, which means a total of 251 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.80%.

Death #250 : Case 16,576 was an 88 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of osteoarthritis. He passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #251 : Case 14,013 was a 75 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Day 144 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 144th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 December, 2020.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

Interstate travel is now allowed (except to Enhanced MCO / administrative restricted areas), as well as many sports facilities.

The Malaysian government has so far announced several Enhanced MCOs :

They also announced Administrative Enhanced MCO for two areas in Banting, a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
