COVID-19 Malaysia : 36434 Cases, 25654 Healed, 277 Dead

Malaysia reported 1009 new COVID-19 cases and 6 deaths today, but also discharged 839 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 5 November 2020…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 839 Patients Discharged!

At 6 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 839 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 25,624 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 70.4%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1009 New Cases!

The surge continues with 1009 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states. Sabah is at the top with 18,083 cases, followed by Selangor with 5,590 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 3,118 cases, and Kedah with 2,172 cases.

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 36,434, with 10,503 active cases – an increase of 164 cases, and the third day Malaysia went above 10,000 active cases for the second time during the Recovery MCO period.

They also shared that there are 4 fewer patients in the ICU – 78 cases right now, and 1 additional patient requiring respiratory support – 28 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : SIX Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced SIX deaths today, which means a total of 277 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.80%.

Death #272 : Case 35,267 was a 61 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, asthma and heart disease. He passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #273 : Case 34,011 was a 62 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension, stroke and tuberculosis. He passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #274 : Case 24,193 was a 54 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension. He passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #275 : Case 35,035 was a 77 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension and kidney stones. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #276 : Case 35,036 was an 80 year-old foreign male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, gout and limb paralysis. He passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #277 : Case 34,012 was a 92 year-old foreign female, who is blind. She passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Day 147 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 147th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 December, 2020.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

Interstate travel is now allowed (except to Enhanced MCO / administrative restricted areas), as well as many sports facilities.

They also announced Administrative Enhanced MCO for two areas in Banting, a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
