COVID-19 Malaysia : 38189 Cases, 26380 Healed, 279 Dead

Malaysia reported a record 1755 new COVID-19 cases and 2 deaths today, but also discharged 726 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 726 Patients Discharged!

At 6 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 726 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 26,380 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 69.1%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1755 New Cases!

The surge continues with a record 1755 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states. Sabah is at the top with 19,282 cases, followed by Selangor with 5,754 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 3,136 cases, and Kedah with 2,191 cases.

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 36,434, with 11,530 active cases – a shocking increase of 1027 cases, and the first day Malaysia went above 11,000 active cases during the Recovery MCO period.

They also shared that there are 5 additional patients in the ICU – 83 cases right now, and 4 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 32 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : TWO Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced TWO deaths today, which means a total of 279 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.70%.

Death #278 : Case 35,982 was a 67 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and asthma. She passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #279 : Case 35,303 was a 54 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension, kidney disease and stroke. He passed away at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Kedah.

Day 148 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 148th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 December, 2020.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

Interstate travel is now allowed (except to Enhanced MCO / administrative restricted areas), as well as many sports facilities.

They also announced Administrative Enhanced MCO for two areas in Banting, a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
