COVID-19 Malaysia : 54775 Cases, 41597 Healed, 335 Dead

Malaysia reported 1096 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths today, but also discharged 1104 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 22 November 2020…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1104 Patients Discharged!

At 6 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1104 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 41,597 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 75.9%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1096 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1096 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states. Sabah is at the top with 26,098 cases, followed by Selangor with 9,752 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 4,860 cases, and Negeri Sembilan with 3,944 cases.

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 54,775, with 12,843 active cases – a drop of 11 cases, and the 7th day Malaysia has more than 12,000 active cases during the Recovery MCO period.

They also shared that there are 2 fewer patients in the ICU – 106 cases right now, and 1 additional patient requiring respiratory support – 46 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : THREE Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced THREE deaths today, which means a total of 335 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.61%.

Death #333 : Case 34953 was a 68 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension and stroke. He passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #334 : Case 41489 was a 90 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of stroke, dyslipidemia and heart arrhythmias. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #335 : Case 52981 was an 80 year-old foreign female, with a history of stroke. She passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 164 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 164th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 December, 2020.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

Interstate travel is now allowed (except to Enhanced MCO / administrative restricted areas), as well as many sports facilities.

The Malaysian government has so far announced several Enhanced MCOs :

They also announced Administrative Enhanced MCO for two areas in Banting, a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
