COVID-19 Malaysia : 74294 Cases, 62306 Healed, 384 Dead

Malaysia reported 1600 new COVID-19 cases and 2 deaths today, but discharged 1033 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 7 December 2020…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1033 Patients Discharged!

At 6 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1033 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 62,306 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 83.9%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1600 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1600 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 74,294, with 11,604 active cases – an increase of 565 cases.

They also shared that there are 3 additional patients in the ICU – 129 cases right now, and no additional patient requiring respiratory support – 57 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states (as of yesterday).

Sabah is at the top with 30,786 cases, followed by Selangor with 16,838 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 7,213 cases, and Negeri Sembilan with 5,999 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : TWO Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced TWO deaths today, which means a total of 384 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.52%.

Death #383 : Case 35800 was a 76 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of hypertension and anaemia. She passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #384 : Case 71551 was a 59 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Semporna Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 179 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 179th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 December, 2020.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.

Interstate travel is now allowed (except to Enhanced MCO / administrative restricted areas), as well as many sports facilities.

The Malaysian government has so far announced several Enhanced MCOs :

They also announced Administrative Enhanced MCO for two areas in Banting, a section of Chow Kit, some residential areas in Selayang and Pudu.
