COVID-19 Malaysia : 117373 Cases, 94492 Healed, 483 Dead

Malaysia reported 2295 new COVID-19 cases and 9 deaths, but discharged 3321 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 2 January 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3321 Patients Discharged!

At 7 PM today, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 3321 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 94,492 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 80.5%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2295 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2295 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 117,373, with 22,398 active cases – a big drop of 1035 cases.

They also shared that there is 1 fewer patient in the ICU – 125 cases right now, and 3 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 51 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Sabah is at the top with 37,553 cases, followed by Selangor with 33,807 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 14,102 cases, and Negeri Sembilan with 8,010 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : NINE Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced NINE deaths today, which means a total of 483 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.41%.

Death #475 : Case 90455 was a 73 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, benign prostatic hyperplasia, chronic kidney disease, cataracts and glaucoma. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #476 : Case 97077 was a 67 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of hypertension, cancer and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

Death #477 : Case 101095 was a 41 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes and obesity. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #478 : Case 112584 was a 82 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of Chronic Obstructive Airway Disease, dementia, and hearing problems. He passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Perak.

Death #479 : Case 113247 was a 65 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #480 : Case 114024 was a 76 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and stroke. He passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Selangor.

Death #481 : Case 114025 was a 66 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of tuberculosis. He passed away at the Hospital Ampang in Selangor.

Death #482 : Case 114536 was a 72 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Death #483 : Case 115055 was a 72 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, heart and kidney disease, Chronic Obstructive Airway Disease, and Peripheral Vascular Disease. He passed away at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.

 

Day 205 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 205th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.
