COVID-19 Malaysia : 122845 Cases, 99449 Healed, 509 Dead

Malaysia reported 2027 new COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths, but discharged 1221 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 5 January 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1221 Patients Discharged!

At 6:30 PM on 5 January 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1221 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 99,449 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 81.0%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2027 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2027 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 122,845, with 22,887 active cases – a big increase of 798 cases.

They also shared that there is 1 additional patients in the ICU – 123 cases right now, and 1 fewer patient requiring respiratory support – 52 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Sabah is at the top with 38,555 cases, followed by Selangor with 35,676 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 14,677 cases, and Negeri Sembilan with 8,236 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : EIGHT Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced EIGHT deaths today, which means a total of 509 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.41%.

Death #502 : Case 74182 was a 74 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Perak.

Death #503 : Case 80539 was a 54 year-old Malaysian female, who passed away at the Lahad Datu Hospital in Sabah.

Death #504 : Case 93490 was a 67 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension, dyslipidemia, stroke and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). He passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #505 : Case 98898 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension and stroke. He passed away at the Lahad Datu Hospital in Sabah.

Death #506 : Case 99298 was a 63 year-old Malaysian female, whose body was brought to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Johor.

Death #507 : Case 100486 was a 62 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, stroke and neurogenic bladder. He passed away at the Lahad Datu Hospital in Sabah.

Death #508 : Case 119306 was a 69 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and heart disease. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #508 : Case 114036 was a 52 year-old foreign female, whose body was brought to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Johor.

 

Day 208 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 208th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.
