COVID-19 Malaysia: 128465 Cases, 102723 Healed, 521 Dead

Malaysia reported a record 3027 new COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths, but discharged 2145 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 7 January 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2145 Patients Discharged!

At 5 PM on 7 January 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2145 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 102,723 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 80.0%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3027 New Cases!

The third wave continues with a record 3027 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 128,465, with 25,221 active cases – a big increase of 874 cases.

They also shared that there is 1 additional patient in the ICU – 142 cases right now, and 4 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 63 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Sabah is at the top with 39,453 cases, followed by Selangor with 37,347 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 15,258 cases, and Johor with 9,002 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : EIGHT Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced EIGHT deaths today, which means a total of 521 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.41%.

Death #514 : Case 74949 was a 56 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #515 : Case 99823 was a 56 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #516 : Case 110291 was a 78 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of heart disease. She passed away at the Penang Hospital.

Death #517 : Case 121311 was a 81 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and hypothyroidism. She passed away at the Ampang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #518 : Case 121694 was a 79 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes, hypertension and Addison’s disease. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #519 : Case 122110 was a 83 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension, gout, dyslipidemia, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Death #520 : Case 122845 was a 38 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #521 : Case 121201 was a 60 year-old foreign female, with a history of hypertension. Her body was brought to the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 210 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 210th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.
