COVID-19 Malaysia: 135992 Cases, 108109 Healed, 551 Dead

Malaysia reported 2433 new COVID-19 cases and 9 deaths, but discharged 1277 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 10 January 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1277 Patients Discharged!

At 6:30 PM on 10 January 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1277 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 108,109 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 79.5%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2433 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2433 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 135,992, with 27,332 active cases – a big increase of 1147 cases.

They also shared that there are 6 fewer patients in the ICU – 171 cases right now, and 6 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 76 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Sabah is at the top with 40,666 cases, followed by Selangor with 40,666 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 15,969 cases, and Johor with 9,923 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : NINE Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced NINE deaths today, which means a total of 551 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.41%.

Death #543 : Case 111571 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension, and gout. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #544 : Case 113691 was a 59 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, and hypertension. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #545 : Case 115953 was a 60 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #546 : Case 121695 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and kidney stones. He passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #547 : Case 132073 was a 51 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of breast cancer. She passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #548 : Case 132207 was a 94 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of hypertension, asthma and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

Death #549 : Case 131514 was a 83 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic lung disease, osteoporosis and beta thalassemia. Her body was brought to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #550 : Case 112204 was a 60 year-old foreign male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

Death #551 : Case 114336 was a 37 year-old foreign male, with a history of chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

 

Day 213 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 213rd day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.
