COVID-19 Malaysia: 138224 Cases, 109115 Healed, 555 Dead

Malaysia reported 2232 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths, but discharged 1006 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 11 January 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1006 Patients Discharged!

At 7 PM on 11 January 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1006 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 109,115 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 78.9%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2232 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2232 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 138,224, with 28,554 active cases – a big increase of 1222 cases.

They also shared that there are 16 additional patients in the ICU – 187 cases right now, and 11 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 87 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Sabah is at the top with 40,666 cases, followed by Selangor with 41,040 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 16,173 cases, and Johor with 10,319 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : FOUR Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced FOUR deaths today, which means a total of 555 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.40%.

Death #552 : Case 121697 was a 56 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #553 : Case 126619 was a 54 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and heart disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #554 : Case 134204 was a 47 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #555 : Case 133961 was a 50 year-old foreign male whose body was brought to the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 214 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 214th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.
