COVID-19 Malaysia: 141533 Cases, 110584 Healed, 559 Dead

Malaysia reported a record 3309 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths, but discharged 1469 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 12 January 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1469 Patients Discharged!

At 6 PM on 12 January 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1469 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 110,584 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 78.1%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3309 New Cases!

The third wave continues with a record 3309 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 141,533, with 30,390 active cases – a big increase of 1836 cases.

They also shared that there are 3 additional patients in the ICU – 190 cases right now, and 4 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 83 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Sabah is at the top with 41,449 cases, followed by Selangor with 41,291 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 16,499 cases, and Johor with 10,761 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : FOUR Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced FOUR deaths today, which means a total of 559 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.39%.

Death #556 : Case 121322 was a 67 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, stroke, heart disease, and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #557 : Case 124204 was a 60 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension, dyslipidemia, heart disease, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #558 : Case 136910 was a 52 year-old Malaysian female, who passed away at the Taiping Hospital in Perak.

Death #559 : Case 137787 was a 69 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Perak.

 

Day 215 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 215th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.
