COVID-19 Malaysia: 165371 Cases, 125288 Healed, 619 Dead

Malaysia reported 3631 new COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths, but discharged 2944 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 19 January 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2944 Patients Discharged!

At 6:30 PM on 19 January 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2944 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 125,288 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 75.8%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3631 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 3631 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 165,371, with 39,464 active cases – a big increase of 673 cases.

They also shared that there are 12 additional patients in the ICU – 238 cases right now, and 2 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 96 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 49,245 cases, followed by Sabah with 44,602 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 18,898 cases, and Johor with 14,069 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 14 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 14 deaths today, which means a total of 619 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #606 : Case 118890 was a 85 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, stroke, chronic kidney disease, and heart disease. He passed away at the Taiping Hospital in Perak.

Death #607 : Case 126622 was a 48 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #608 : Case 135728 was a 63 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, and hypertension. He passed away at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Kedah.

Death #609 : Case 144475 was a 64 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and osteoarthritis. He passed away at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #610 : Case 154699 was a 55 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #611 : Case 159609 was a 74 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #612 : Case 159613 was a 62 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #613 : Case 159617 was a 57 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #614 : Case 159618 was a 53 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and empyema. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #615 : Case 159643 was a 46 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #616 : Case 160454 was a 71 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. He passed away at the Sultan Ismail Hospital in Johor.

Death #617 : Case 160642 was a 72 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. He passed away at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Death #618 : Case 161533 was a 60 year-old foreign female, with a history of hypertension. Her body was brought to the Labuan Hospital.

Death #619 : Case 134684 was a 60 year-old foreign male, with a history of diabetes, asthma, and chronic liver disease. He passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

 

Day 222 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 222nd day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.
