COVID-19 Malaysia: 176180 Cases, 132706 Healed, 660 Dead

Malaysia reported 3631 new COVID-19 cases and 18 deaths, but discharged 2554 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2554 Patients Discharged!

At 6:15 PM on 22 January 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2554 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 132,706 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 75.3%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3631 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 3631 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 176,180, with 42,814 active cases – a huge increase of 1059 cases.

They also shared that there are 9 fewer patients in the ICU – 251 cases right now, and 1 fewer patient requiring respiratory support – 102 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states, as of yesterday.

Selangor is at the top with 51,963 cases, followed by Sabah with 45,862 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 20,422 cases, and Johor with 15,428 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 18 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 18 deaths today, which means a total of 660 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #643 : Case 106355 was a 79 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Death #644 : Case 113246 was a 85 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and COAD. His body was brought to the Kinabatangan Hospital in Sabah.

Death #645 : Case 133568 was a 83 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of stage 4 cancer and spodylolisthesis. He passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #646 : Case 152483 was a 66 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes and stroke. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #647 : Case 157810 was a 59 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of hypertension and dementia. She passed away at the Kepala Batas Hospital in Penang.

Death #648 : Case 161279 was a 93 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, asthma, gout, osteoarthritis and tuberculosis. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #649 : Case 163341 was a 66 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of hypertension and heart disease. She passed away at the Lahad Datu Hospital in Sabah.

Death #650 : Case 169893 was a 85 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the Ampang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #651 : Case 169894 was a 88 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #652 : Case 169895 was a 88 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Ampang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #653 : Case 169903 was a 78 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes. She passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #654 : Case 169904 was a 46 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes and asthma. She passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #655 : Case 169911 was a 32 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Selangor.

Death #656 : Case 169913 was a 82 year-old Malaysian male, whose body was brought to the Kuala Kubu Bharu Hospital in Selangor.

Death #657 : Case 170770 was a 45 year-old Malaysian male, whose body was brought to the Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #658 : Case 170780 was a 68 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #659 : Case 175617 was a 58 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, chronic kidney disease, anaemia and peripheral vascular disease. He passed away at the Miri Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #660 : Case 169914 was a 40 year-old foreign male, with a history of diabetes. He passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Selangor.

 

Day 225 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 225th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.
