COVID-19 Malaysia: 186849 Cases, 145084 Healed, 689 Dead

Malaysia reported 3048 new COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths, but also discharged 3638 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 25 January 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3638 Patients Discharged!

At 6:15 PM on 25 January 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 3638 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 145,084 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 77.7%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3048 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 3048 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 186,849, with 41,076 active cases – a big drop of 601 cases.

They also shared that there are 4 fewer patients in the ICU – 261 cases right now, and 1 fewer patient requiring respiratory support – 101 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 55,369 cases, followed by Sabah with 47,139 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 21,665 cases, and Johor with 16,760 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 11 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 11 deaths today, which means a total of 689 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #679 : Case 152479 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #680 : Case 172106 was a 52 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #681 : Case 173423 was a 55 year-old Malaysian male, whose body was brought to the Kuala Penyu Hospital in Sabah.

Death #682 : Case 175518 was a 71 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of hypertension, chronic obstructive airway disease, epilepsy and obesity. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #683 : Case 175775 was a 54 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #684 : Case 175861 was a 70 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension. He passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital in Pahang.

Death #685 : Case 177584 was a 75 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. He passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #686 : Case 179368 was a 82 year-old Malaysian male who passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Perak.

Death #687 : Case 181831 was a 77 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes and hypertension. His body was brought to the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #688 : Case 182157 was a 54 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of asthma. She passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #689 : Case 181832 was a 60 year-old foreign male, whose body was brought to the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 228 Of COVID-19 RMCO In Malaysia

Today marks the 228th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under RMCO, most businesses are allowed to reopen, with a new normal of restrictions on social distancing and other measures.
