COVID-19 Malaysia: 194114 Cases, 151018 Healed, 707 Dead

Malaysia reported 3680 new COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths, but also discharged 1858 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 27 January 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1858 Patients Discharged!

At 6:15 PM on 27 January 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1858 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 151,018 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 77.8%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3680 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 3585 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 194,114, with 42,389active cases – a huge increase of 1815 cases.

They also shared that there are 34 additional patients in the ICU – 314 cases right now, and 11 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 122 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 57,486 cases, followed by Sabah with 47,737 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 22,973 cases, and Johor with 18,345 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 7 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 7 deaths today, which means a total of 707 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.36%.

Death #701 : Case 137785 was a 55 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Perak.

Death #702 : Case 147392 was a 74 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of gout. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #703 : Case 177981 was a 84 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #704 : Case 188116 was a 72 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Shah Alam Hospital in Selangor.

Death #705 : Case 188117 was a 72 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #706 : Case 188118 was a 61 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Johor.

Death #707 : Case 189863 was a 71 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and hearing problems. She passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Perak.

 

Day 15 Of COVID-19 MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 15th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 4 February, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
