COVID-19 Malaysia: 209661 Cases, 161527 Healed, 746 Dead

Malaysia reported a record 5728 new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths, but also discharged 3805 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 30 January 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3805 Patients Discharged!

At 6:30 PM on 30 January 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 3805 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 161,527 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 77.0%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 5728 New Cases!

The third wave continues with a record 5728 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 209,661, with 47,388 active cases – a whopping increase of 1910 cases.

They also shared that there are 18 additional patients in the ICU – 319 cases right now, and 5 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 120 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 65,474 cases, followed by Sabah with 48,570 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 24,818 cases, and Johor with 20,538 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 13 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 13 deaths today, which means a total of 746 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.36%.

Death #734 : Case 121104 was a 63 year-old Malaysian female, with history of peptic ulcer. She passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #735 : Case 135654 was a 73 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of dyslipidemia, and polycythaemia. He passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Perak.

Death #736 : Case 140408 was a 60 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Death #737 : Case 180818 was a 62 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes and hypertension. His body was brought to the Tanjung Karang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #738 : Case 199155 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of hypertension and benign prostatic hyperplasia. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #739 : Case 201328 was a 62 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of breast cancer. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #740 : Case 201333 was a 53 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, and hypertension. His body was brought to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Selangor.

Death #741 : Case 203226 was a 71 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of Parkinson’s disease and aortic aneurysm. He passed away at the Seri Manjung Hospital in Perak.

Death #742 : Case 203396 was a 37 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, obesity and asthma. She passed away at the Kapit Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #743 : Case 203608 was a 74 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. She passed away at the Melaka Hospital.

Death #744 : Case 203775 was a 64 year-old Malaysian male, with a history of diabetes, dyslipidemia and anaemia. He passed away at the Labuan Hospital.

Death #745 : Case 203776 was a 63 year-old Malaysian female, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, obesity and heart disease. She passed away at the Labuan Hospital.

Death #746 : Case 195963 was a 56 year-old foreign female, with a history of hypertension. Her body was brought to the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 18 Of COVID-19 MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 18th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 4 February, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
