COVID-19 Malaysia: 219173 Cases, 170329 Healed, 770 Dead

Malaysia reported 4214 new COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths, but also discharged 4280 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 1 February 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 4280 Patients Discharged!

At 6:18 PM on 1 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 4280 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 170,329 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 77.7%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 4214 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 4214 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 219,173, with 48,074 active cases – a small drop of 76 cases.

They also shared that there are 3 additional patients in the ICU – 316 cases right now, and 10 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 137 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 69,296 cases, followed by Sabah with 49,144 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 26,303 cases, and Johor with 22,626 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 10 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 10 deaths today, which means a total of 770 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.35%.

Death #761 : Case 160620 was a 71 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. She passed away at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Death #762 : Case 175949 was a 40 year-old Malaysian female, with history of obesity. She passed away at the Labuan Hospital.

Death #763 : Case 183154 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, COAD and gout. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #764 : Case 212105 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #765 : Case 214229 was a 26 year-old Malaysian male, with history of obesity. He passed away at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Death #766 : Case 214249 was a 73 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. He passed away at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Death #767 : Case 214264 was a 87 year-old Malaysian female, who passed away at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Death #768 : Case 214392 was a 59 year-old Malaysian male, with history of dyslipidemia. He passed away at Teluk Intan Hospital in Perak.

Death #769 : Case 214737 was a 61 year-old Malaysian male, with history of chronic liver disease. He passed away at the Melaka Hospital.

Death #770 : Case 214914 was a 80 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital in Terengganu.

 

Day 20 Of COVID-19 MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 20th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 4 February, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
