COVID-19 Malaysia: 222628 Cases, 173990 Healed, 791 Dead

Malaysia reported 3455 new COVID-19 cases and 21 deaths, but also discharged 3661 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 2 February 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3661 Patients Discharged!

At 6:09 PM on 2 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 3661 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 173,990 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 78.2%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3455 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 3455 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 222,628, with 47,847 active cases – a small drop of 227 cases.

They also shared that there are 11 additional patients in the ICU – 327 cases right now, and 8 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 145 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 70,441 cases, followed by Sabah with 49,420 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 26,922 cases, and Johor with 23,334 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 21 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 21 deaths today, which means a total of 791 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.36%.

Death #771 : Case 128504 was a 67 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, and hypertension. She passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #772 : Case 136362 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, and hypertension. He passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #773 : Case 147218 was a 64 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Kedah.

Death #774 : Case 169902 was a 55 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, dyslipidemia, heart disease and obesity. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #775 : Case 170203 was a 83 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, and hypertension. She passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #776 : Case 170772 was a 65 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #777 : Case 173835 was a 79 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, chronic kidney disease and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #778 : Case 181502 was a 61 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #779 : Case 187116 was a 48 year-old Malaysian male, with history of stroke. He passed away at the Kajang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #780 : Case 201326 was a 73 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #781 : Case 207105 was a 36 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. She passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #782 : Case 211993 was a 81 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #783 : Case 212107 was a 49 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension, chronic kidney disease and stroke. He passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #784 : Case 215229 was a 57 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #785 : Case 216308 was a 82 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the Ampang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #786 : Case 218241 was a 81 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and stroke. He passed away at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Death #787 : Case 218249 was a 64 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and liver cancer. She passed away at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Death #788 : Case 220316 was a 61 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes. She passed away at Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #789 : Case 220317 was a 50 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Kajang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #790 : Case 220318 was a 53 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #791 : Case 216310 was a 68 year-old foreign female, with history of hypertension. She passed away at the Ampang Hospital in Selangor.

 

Day 21 Of COVID-19 MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 21st day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 18 February, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
