COVID-19 Malaysia: 226912 Cases, 177794 Healed, 809 Dead

Malaysia reported 4284 new COVID-19 cases and 18 deaths, but also discharged 3804 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 3 February 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3804 Patients Discharged!

At 6:14 PM on 3 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 3804 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 177,794 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 78.4%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 4284 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 4284 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 226,912, with 48,309 active cases – a big increase of 462 cases.

They also shared that there are 20 fewer patients in the ICU – 307 cases right now, and 4 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 141 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 72,013 cases, followed by Sabah with 49,610 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 27,573 cases, and Johor with 24,298 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 18 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 18 deaths today, which means a total of 809 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.36%.

Death #792 : Case 108950 was a 60 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, dyslipidemia and gout. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #793 : Case 164983 was a 41 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and heart disease. His body was brought to the Sarawak General Hospital.

Death #794 : Case 171996 was a 75 year-old Malaysian female, with history of stroke and dementia. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #795 : Case 186320 was a 55 year-old Malaysian male, with history of stroke, heart disease and anti-phospholipid syndrome. He passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Perak.

Death #796 : Case 186570 was a 31 year-old Malaysian male, whose body was brought to the Alor Gajah Hospital in Melaka.

Death #797 : Case 193846 was a 60 year-old Malaysian female, with history of chronic liver disease and lymphoma. She passed away at the Miri Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #798 : Case 207108 was a 35 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and stroke. She passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #799 : Case 219057 was a 70 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #800 : Case 219477 was a 79 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and heart disease. He passed away at the Ampang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #801 : Case 220306 was a 38 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #802 : Case 221209 was a 64 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #803 : Case 221783 was a 76 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and stroke. He passed away at the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital in Johor.

Death #804 : Case 222121 was a 93 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension. Her body was brought to the Teluk Intan Hospital in Perak.

Death #805 : Case 224200 was a 41 year-old Malaysian female, with history of obesity and hyperthyroidism. She passed away at the UITM Hospital in Selangor.

Death #806 : Case 226136 was a 72 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Death #807 : Case 226137 was a 71 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Death #808 : Case 226138 was a 57 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, and hypertension. He passed away at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Death #809 : Case 212407 was a 89 year-old foreign male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. His body was brought to the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 22 Of COVID-19 MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 22nd day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 18 February, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
