COVID-19 Malaysia: 234874 Cases, 185278 Healed, 845 Dead

Malaysia reported 3391 new COVID-19 cases and 18 deaths, but also discharged 3392 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 5 February 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3392 Patients Discharged!

At 6:16 PM on 5 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 3392 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 185,278 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 78.9%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3391 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 3391 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 234,874, with 48,751 active cases – a drop of 20 cases.

They also shared that there are 2 additional patients in the ICU – 310 cases right now, and 1 fewer patient requiring respiratory support – 134 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 75,297 cases, followed by Sabah with 49,981 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 28,449 cases, and Johor with 25,560 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 19 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 19 deaths today, which means a total of 845 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.36%.

Death #827 : Case 110504 was a 60 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #828 : Case 115104 was a 61 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #829 : Case 163695 was a 58 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at the Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #830 : Case 181471 was a 82 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #831 : Case 185368 was a 51 year-old Malaysian male, with history of heart disease. He passed away at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

Death #832 : Case 188161 was a 83 year-old Malaysian female, who passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #833 : Case 193789 was a 82 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and stroke. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #834 : Case 197607 was a 87 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at Teluk Intan Hospital in Perak.

Death #835 : Case 203360 was a 95 year-old Malaysian male, with history of tuberculosis. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #836 : Case 207738 was a 73 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity, chronic lung disease and heart disease. She passed away at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

Death #837 : Case 207954 was a 59 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and deep vein thrombosis. He passed away at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

Death #838 : Case 207955 was a 44 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, chronic kidney disease, and leukaemia. He passed away at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

Death #839 : Case 228686 was a 78 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #840 : Case 228730 was a 53 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #841 : Case 229622 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

Death #842 : Case 230763 was a 79 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, stroke and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #843 : Case 232889 was a 72 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and gout. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #844 : Case 129759 was a 57 year-old foreign male, with history of stroke. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #845 : Case 146156 was a 42 year-old foreign female, with history of diabetes. She passed away at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

 

Day 24 Of COVID-19 MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 24th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 18 February, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
