Malaysia reported 3847 new COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths, but also discharged 1692 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1692 Patients Discharged!
On 6 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1692 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!
That means a total of 186,970 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 78.3%.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3847 New Cases!
The third wave continues with 3847 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!
- 4 cases imported from overseas
– 2 in KL, 2 in Johor - 3843 local cases
– 1481 cases in Selangor : 64 from existing clusters, 194 from new Kampung Baru Industry, Jalan Banting-Klang, Salak Tinggi Warehouse, Jalan Kuala Selangor and Lingkaran Cyber clusters, 859 from close contact screening, 364 from assorted screening
– 583 cases in Johor : 197 from existing clusters, 47 from new Jalan Istimewa Tujuh, Jalan Tun Mutalib and Jalan Bayu Satu clusters, 186 from close contact screening, 153 from assorted screening
– 400 cases in KL : 44 from existing clusters, 12 from new Sungai Besi construction site cluster, 139 from close contact screening, 205 from assorted screening
– 329 cases in Melaka : 288 from existing clusters, 27 from close contact screening, 14 from assorted screening
– 233 cases in Sabah : 52 from existing clusters, 7 from new Jalan Chester Cluster, 130 from close contact screening, 44 from assorted screening
– 211 cases in Penang : 151 from existing clusters, 10 from close contact screening, 50 from assorted screening
– 185 cases in Sarawak : 81 from existing clusters, 42 from close contact screening, 62 from assorted screening
– 133 cases in Negeri Sembilan : 33 from existing clusters, 55 from close contact screening, 45 from assorted screening
– 64 cases in Kedah : 20 from existing clusters, 21 from close contact screening, 23 from assorted screening
– 62 cases in Kelantan : 22 from existing clusters, 16 from close contact screening, 24 from assorted screening
– 56 cases in Terengganu : 17 from existing clusters, 5 from new Jalan Kubur Darau and Gong Nering clusters, 17 from close contact screening, 17 from assorted screening
– 48 cases in Pahang : 32 from existing clusters, 12 from close contact screening, 4 from assorted screening
– 36 cases in Perak : 25 from existing clusters, 10 from close contact screening, 1 from assorted screening
– 10 cases in Labuan : 3 from existing clusters, 1 from close contact screening, 6 from assorted screening
– 8 cases in Putrajaya : 5 from close contact screening, 3 from assorted screening
– 4 cases in Perlis : all from assorted screening
This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 238,721, with 50,894 active cases – a huge increase of 2143 cases.
They also shared that there are 5 fewer patients in the ICU – 305 cases right now, and 5 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 139 cases right now.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State
Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.
Selangor is at the top with 75,297 cases, followed by Sabah with 49,981 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 28,449 cases, and Johor with 25,560 cases.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 12 Deaths Today
The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 12 deaths today, which means a total of 857 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.36%.
Death #846 : Case 110504 was a 62 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes. She passed away at the Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital in Kelantan.
Death #847 : Case 115104 was a 81 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension stroke and heart disease. He passed away at the Melaka Hospital.
Death #848 : Case 163695 was a 75 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, and glioblastoma multiforme. He passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Jemaah Hospital in Selangor.
Death #849 : Case 181471 was a 63 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Melaka Hospital.
Death #850 : Case 185368 was a 60 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, asthma and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor.
Death #851 : Case 188161 was a 55 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension. She passed away at the Tuaran Hospital in Sabah.
Death #852 : Case 193789 was a 67 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, stroke and heart disease. He passed away at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor.
Death #853 : Case 197607 was a 42 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes. She passed away at Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.
Death #854 : Case 203360 was a 38 year-old foreign male, with history of leukaemia. He passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.
Death #855 : Case 207738 was a 46 year-old foreign male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
Death #856 : Case 207954 was a 51 year-old foreign male, who passed away at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
Death #857 : Case 207955 was a 84 year-old foreign female, with history of hypertension, dyslipdemia and stroke. She passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.
Day 25 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia
Today marks the 25th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 18 February, 2021.
Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.
Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.

COVID-19 : How To Keep Safe!
Here are a few simple steps to stay safe from COVID-19 :
- Avoid suspected cases or disease hotspots, like hospitals, if possible!
- Avoid public events and crowds
- Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
- If you need to wear a surgical mask, make sure you put it on and remove it properly!
