Malaysia reported 3288 new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths, but also discharged 1929 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1929 Patients Discharged!
On 10 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1929 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!
That means a total of 198,495 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 79.2%.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3288 New Cases!
The third wave continues with 3288 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!
- 5 cases imported from overseas
– 4 in KL, 1 in Selangor - 3283 local cases
– 1756 cases in Selangor : 832 from existing clusters, 91 from new Industri Wawasan, Batu 20 and Persiaran Sepang construction site clusters, 629 from close contact screening, 204 from assorted screening
– 404 cases in KL : 122 from existing clusters, 27 from new Jalan Harun, Jalan Dua Belas and Jalan Tandok construction site clusters, 115 from close contact screening, 140 from assorted screening
– 369 cases in Johor : 91 from existing clusters, 19 from new Jalan Kancil Waha, Jalan Uda Utama and Lorong Sahabat clusters, 109 from close contact screening, 150 from assorted screening
– 157 cases in Negeri Sembilan : 80 from existing clusters, 34 from close contact screening, 43 from assorted screening
– 135 cases in Sarawak : 16 from existing clusters, 34 from close contact screening, 85 from assorted screening
– 132 cases in Sabah : 8 from existing clusters, 16 from new Jalan Tiga KKIP and Bersatu Damai clusters, 69 from close contact screening, 39 from assorted screening
– 92 cases in Melaka : 77 from existing clusters, 7 from close contact screening, 8 from assorted screening
– 59 cases in Penang : 24 from existing clusters, 12 from close contact screening, 23 from assorted screening
– 49 cases in Kedah : 5 from existing clusters, 8 from close contact screening, 35 from assorted screening
– 44 cases in Kelantan : 7 from existing clusters, 21 from close contact screening, 16 from assorted screening
– 42 cases in Perak : 10 from existing clusters, 11 from close contact screening, 21 from assorted screening
– 24 cases in Terengganu : 6 from existing clusters, 11 from close contact screening, 7 from assorted screening
– 14 cases in Pahang : 7 from existing clusters, 4 from close contact screening, 3 from assorted screening
– 4 cases in Putrajaya : 3 from close contact screening, 1 from assorted screening
– 3 cases in Labuan : all from assorted screening
This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 251,604, with 52,186 active cases – a large increase of 1345 cases.
They also shared that there are 4 fewer patients in the ICU – 285 cases right now, and 4 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 131 cases right now.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State
Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.
Selangor is at the top with 82,199 cases, followed by Sabah with 50,855 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 30,348 cases, and Johor with 28,024 cases.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 13 Deaths Today
The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 13 deaths today, which means a total of 923 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.
Death #924 : Case 198175 was a 53 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital in Terengganu.
Death #925 : Case 220206 was a 63 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.
Death #926 : Case 226570 was a 71 year-old Malaysian male, with history of Still’s disease, thyroid gland and Myelodysplastic Syndrome. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #927 : Case 249245 was a 78 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension, lung fibrosis and psoriasis. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.
Death #928 : Case 249253 was a 69 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.
Death #929 : Case 250201 was a 87 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and stroke. Her body was brought to the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.
Death #930 : Case 250202 was a 83 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and stroke. His body was brought to the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.
Death #931 : Case 250977 was a 38 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and immobility. She passed away at Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor.
Death #932 : Case 250977 was a 38 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes. She passed away at Sultan Ismail Hospital in Johor.
Death #933 : Case 251139 was a 56 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes. She passed away at Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.
Death #934 : Case 251597 was a 40 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital in Terengganu.
Death #935 : Case 250203 was a 66 year-old foreign male, whose body was brought to the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.
Death #936 : Case 250591 was a 42 year-old foreign male, whose body was brought to the KL Hospital.
Day 29 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia
Today marks the 29th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 18 February, 2021.
Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.
Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.

COVID-19 : How To Keep Safe!
Here are a few simple steps to stay safe from COVID-19 :
- Avoid suspected cases or disease hotspots, like hospitals, if possible!
- Avoid public events and crowds
- Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
- If you need to wear a surgical mask, make sure you put it on and remove it properly!
