Malaysia reported 3384 new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths, but also discharged 3774 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 11 February 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3774 Patients Discharged!

On 11 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 3774 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 202,269 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 79.2%.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3384 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 3384 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

  • 15 cases imported from overseas
    – 7 in KL, 3 in Selangor, 2 in Kedah, 1 in Johor, 1 in Sabah, 1 in Labuan
  • 3369 local cases
    – 1079 cases in Selangor : 272 from existing clusters, 52 from new Lembah Subang construction site, Subang Delima and Jalan Bukit Sentosa clusters, 574 from close contact screening, 181 from assorted screening
    – 776 cases in Johor : 115 from existing clusters, 403 from new Jalan Air Hitam, Jalan Perindustrian Getah, Kampung Tanjung Selabu, Jalan Raja Luar, Jalan Gemilang Lima and Jalan Bakawali Ramun clusters, 170 from close contact screening, 88 from assorted screening
    – 428 cases in KL : 201 from existing clusters, 33 from new Jalan Berhala, Jalan Telawi and Bukit Angkasa clusters, 80 from close contact screening, 114 from assorted screening
    – 226 cases in Kedah : 9 from existing clusters, 165 from new Perdana and Dedap clusters, 16 from close contact screening, 36 from assorted screening
    – 184 cases in Sarawak : 64 from existing clusters, 17 from new Nano Lijan Cluster, 65 from close contact screening, 38 from assorted screening
    – 144 cases in Penang : 75 from existing clusters, 21 from close contact screening, 48 from assorted screening
    – 141 cases in Sabah : 5 from existing clusters, 108 from close contact screening, 28 from assorted screening
    – 101 cases in Melaka : 85 from existing clusters, 3 from new Jalan Bukit Baru Cluster, 7 from close contact screening, 6 from assorted screening
    – 89 cases in Negeri Sembilan : 32 from existing clusters, 34 from close contact screening, 23 from assorted screening
    – 82 cases in Perak : 33 from existing clusters, 14 from new Tembok Bendera Cluster, 20 from close contact screening, 15 from assorted screening
    – 48 cases in Kelantan : 31 from close contact screening, 17 from assorted screening
    – 26 cases in Terengganu : 11 from existing clusters, 10 from close contact screening, 5 from assorted screening
    – 21 cases in Pahang : 5 from existing clusters, 10 from close contact screening, 4 from assorted screening
    – 11 cases in Labuan : 7 from existing clusters, 3 from close contact screening, 3 from assorted screening
    – 7 cases in Putrajaya : all from close contact screening
    – 4 cases in Perlis : all from assorted screening

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 254,988, with 51,783 active cases – a drop of 403 cases.

They also shared that there are 26 fewer patients in the ICU – 259 cases right now, and 9 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 122 cases right now.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 83,281 cases, followed by Sabah with 50,997 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 30,783 cases, and Johor with 28,801 cases.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 13 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 13 deaths today, which means a total of 936 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #910 : Case 136276 was a 62 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #911 : Case 155059 was a 36 year-old Malaysian male, with history of obesity. He passed away at the KL Hospital.

Death #912 : Case 170220 was a 57 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #913 : Case 178433 was a 68 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #914 : Case 187804 was a 63 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and stroke. He passed away at Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #915 : Case 195884 was a 94 year-old Malaysian male, with history of asthma. He passed away at Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #916 : Case 195909 was a 42 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, obesity and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #917 : Case 199189 was a 69 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #918 : Case 215145 was a 89 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #919 : Case 237235 was a 86 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Death #920 : Case 237976 was a 91 year-old Malaysian female, who passed away at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Kedah.

Death #921 : Case 240222 was a 62 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and heart disease. He passed away at Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #922 : Case 243072 was a 61 year-old Malaysian male, with history of heart disease and obesity. He passed away at KPJ Kajang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #923 : Case 244543 was a 63 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Day 30 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 30th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 18 February, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
