COVID-19 Malaysia: 264269 Cases, 213814 Healed, 965 Dead

Malaysia reported 2464 new COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths, but also discharged 4525 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 14 February 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 4525 Patients Discharged!

On 14 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 4525 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 213,814 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 80.9%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2464 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2464 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 264,269, with 49,490 active cases – a large drop of 2068 cases.

They also shared that there are 3 fewer patients in the ICU – 260 cases right now, and 7 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 111 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 86,943 cases, followed by Sabah with 51,332 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 31,822 cases, and Johor with 30,837 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 7 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 7 deaths today, which means a total of 965 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #959 : Case 147409 was a 63 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #960 : Case 203502 was a 52 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and gout. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #961 : Case 209409 was a 73 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension, diabetes and heart disease. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #962 : Case 232885 was a 9 year-old Malaysian male, with history of medulloblastoma. He passed away at the Likas Women and Children’s Hospital in Sabah.

Death #963 : Case 257659 was a 62 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at Penang Hospital.

Death #964 : Case 258778 was a 83 year-old Malaysian female, with history of chronic eye disease. She passed away at Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #965 : Case 258802 was a 60 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

 

Day 33 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 33rd day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 18 February, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
