COVID-19 in Malaysia : 274875 Cases, 235082 Discharged, 1030 Dead

Malaysia reported 2712 new COVID-19 cases and 25 deaths, but also discharged 5320 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 18 February 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 5320 Patients Discharged!

On 18 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 5320 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 235,082 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 85.5%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2712 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2712 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 274,875, with 38,763 active cases – a large drop of 2633 cases.

They also shared that there are 4 fewer patients in the ICU – 227 cases right now, and 12 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 103 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 90,535 cases, followed by Sabah with 51,655 cases, Kuala Lumpur with 32,548 cases, and Johor with 31,993 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 25 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 25 deaths today – the highest daily death toll so far. That means a total of 1,030 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1006 : Case 141532 was a 64 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1007 : Case 183158 was a 64 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Sarawak General Hospital.

Death #1008 : Case 207035 was a 82 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and heart disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1009 : Case 241977 was a 73 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1010 : Case 251336 was a 67 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at  the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1011 : Case 267711 was a 81 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1012 : Case 267712 was a 79 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. He passed away at the National Heart Institute in KL.

Death #1013 : Case 267714 was a 79 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and heart disease. She passed away at Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1014 : Case 267715 was a 78 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. Her body was brought to the Ampang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1015 : Case 267717 was a 73 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, dyslipidemia and heart disease. He passed away at Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1016 : Case 267719 was a 71 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1017 : Case 267721 was a 68 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and stroke. She passed away at Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1018 : Case 267722 was a 64 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and leukaemia. He passed away at Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1019 : Case 267723 was a 63 year-old Malaysian male, whose body was brought to the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1020 : Case 267725 was a 60 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1021 : Case 267727 was a 58 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Shah Alam Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1022 : Case 267874 was a 40 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. His body was brought to the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1023 : Case 270637 was a 65 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and chronic kidney disease. His body was brought to the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1024 : Case 270790 was a 77 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, heart disease, chronic lung disease and obstructive sleep apnoea. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1025 : Case 270791 was a 75 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. He passed away at Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1026 : Case 271291 was a 71 year-old Malaysian male, with history of chronic lung disease and traumatic brain injury. He passed away at Sultan Ismail Hospital in Johor.

Death #1027 : Case 236399 was a 3 year-old foreign female, with history of brain cancer. She passed away at Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1028 : Case 267709 was a 100 year-old foreign female, with history of hypertension, heart disease, anaemia, stroke and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at Shah Alam Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1029 : Case 267729 was a 55 year-old foreign female, with history of hypertension. Her body was brought to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1030 : Case 267730 was a 47 year-old foreign male, whose body was brought to the Ampang Hospital in Selangor.

 

Day 37 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 37th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 18 February, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
