COVID-19 in Malaysia : 277811 Cases, 239971 Discharged, 1043 Dead

Malaysia reported 2936 new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths, but also discharged 4889 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 19 February 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 4889 Patients Discharged!

On 19 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 4889 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 239,971 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 86.4%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2936 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2936 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 277,811, with 36,797 active cases – a large drop of 1966 cases.

They also shared that there are 7 fewer patients in the ICU – 220 cases right now, and 1 additional patient requiring respiratory support – 104 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 92,526 cases, followed by Sabah with 51,870 cases, Johor with 33,149 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 32,987 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 13 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 13 deaths today. That means a total of 1,043 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.38%.

Death #1031 : Case 180067 was a 60 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Melaka Hospital.

Death #1032 : Case 227565 was a 70 year-old Malaysian male, with history of chronic kidney disease and obesity. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1033 : Case 236789 was a 75 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the KL Hospital.

Death #1034 : Case 247886 was a 84 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1035 : Case 267716 was a 75 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, chronic kidney disease, stroke and heart disease. He passed away at  the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1036 : Case 270794 was a 69 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1037 : Case 270796 was a 67 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the KL Hospital.

Death #1038 : Case 270797 was a 66 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and heart disease. She passed away at Cancelor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #1039 : Case 270856 was a 59 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and psoriasis. He passed away at the KL Hospital.

Death #1040 : Case 271824 was a 60 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and Schwannoma. She passed away at Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1041 : Case 273168 was a 82 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, stroke, heart disease and Parkinson’s disease. He passed away at Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1042 : Case 273917 was a 59 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at Sultan Ismail Hospital in Johor.

Death #1043 : Case 270819 was a 53 year-old Malaysian male, with history of heart disease. His body was brought the Tung Shin Hospital in KL.

 

Day 38 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 38th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 18 February, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
