Malaysia reported 1924 new COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths, but also discharged 3752 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3752 Patients Discharged!
On 25 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 3752 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!
That means a total of 263,009 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 89.1%.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1924 New Cases!
The third wave continues with 1924 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!
- 6 cases imported from overseas
– 3 in KL, 2 in Selangor, 1 in Sarawak - 1918 local cases
– 664 cases in Selangor : 144 from existing clusters, 43 from new Industri 19, Industri Jalan Ampat and SS Lapan clusters, 340 from close contact screening, 137 from assorted screening
– 257 cases in Johor : 107 from existing clusters, 90 from close contact screening, 60 from assorted screening
– 217 cases in Sarawak : 52 from existing clusters, 2 from new Jalan Ho Pin Cluster, 59 from close contact screening, 105 from assorted screening
– 215 cases in KL : 52 from existing clusters, 1 from new Jalan Putra Silang Cluster, 98 from close contact screening, 64 from assorted screening
– 162 cases in Penang : 40 from existing clusters, 19 from new Lorong Murni Cluster, 38 from close contact screening, 65 from assorted screening
– 120 cases in Perak : 96 from existing clusters, 2 from new Kampung Mak Teh Cluster, 8 from close contact screening, 14 from assorted screening
– 93 cases in Sabah : 34 from existing clusters, 42 from close contact screening, 17 from assorted screening
– 62 cases in Negeri Sembilan : 14 from existing clusters, 38 from close contact screening, 10 from assorted screening
– 44 cases in Kelantan : 15 from existing clusters, 18 from close contact screening, 11 from assorted screening
– 29 cases in Kedah : 9 from existing clusters, 6 from close contact screening, 14 from assorted screening
– 22 cases in Melaka : 5 from existing clusters, 17 from close contact screening
– 19 cases in Pahang : 3 from existing clusters, 7 from new Indera Mahkota construction site cluster, 1 from close contact screening, 8 from assorted screening
– 6 cases in Terengganu : 5 from existing clusters, 1 from assorted screening
– 4 cases in Labuan : 1 from close contact screening, 3 from assorted screening
– 2 cases in Putrajaya : 1 from close contact screening, 1 from assorted screening
– 1 case in Perlis : from assorted screening
This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 293,698, with 28,837 active cases – a big drop of 1840 cases.
They also shared that there are 16 additional patients in the ICU – 205 cases right now, and 3 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 91 cases right now.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State
Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.
Selangor is at the top with 97,484 cases, followed by Sabah with 52,466 cases, Johor with 35,027 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 34,397 cases.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 12 Deaths Today
The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 12 deaths today. That means a total of 1,100 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.
Death #1089 : Case 166754 was a 52 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia, gout and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1090 : Case 169896 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dementia and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1091 : Case 169898 was a 74 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. She passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1092 : Case 173302 was a 59 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, stroke, obesity, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1093 : Case 191249 was a 72 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and heart disease. She passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1094 : Case 201327 was a 72 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, stroke, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1095 : Case 214450 was a 91 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, stroke, and gout. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1096 : Case 279740 was a 74 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1097 : Case 288782 was a 82 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the KL Hospital.
Death #1098 : Case 288792 was a 58 year-old Malaysian male, with history of tuberculosis and adrenal insufficiency. He passed away at the KL Hospital.
Death #1099 : Case 288798 was a 63 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the KL Hospital.
Death #1100 : Case 291081 was a 77 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Balik Pulau Hospital in Penang.
Day 44 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia
Today marks the 44th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 4 March, 2021.
Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.
Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.

COVID-19 : How To Keep Safe!
Here are a few simple steps to stay safe from COVID-19 :
- Avoid suspected cases or disease hotspots, like hospitals, if possible!
- Avoid public events and crowds
- Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
- If you need to wear a surgical mask, make sure you put it on and remove it properly!
