COVID-19 in Malaysia : 295951 Cases, 266846 Discharged, 1111 Dead

Malaysia reported 2253 new COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths, but also discharged 3085 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 26 February 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3085 Patients Discharged!

On 26 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 3085 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 266,846 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 90.2%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2253 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2253 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 295,951, with 27,994 active cases – a big drop of 843 cases.

They also shared that there are 4 fewer patients in the ICU – 201 cases right now, and 2 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 93 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 98,117 cases, followed by Sabah with 52,595 cases, Johor with 35,303 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 34,519 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 11 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 11 deaths today. That means a total of 1,111 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1101 : Case 152879 was a 68 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and COPD. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1102 : Case 261585 was a 55 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1103 : Case 288450 was a 72 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Ampang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1104 : Case 288785 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the KL Hospital.

Death #1105 : Case 288796 was a 40 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, asthma, obesity and heart disease. She passed away at the KL Hospital.

Death #1106 : Case 288799 was a 61 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. His body was brought to the KL Hospital.

Death #1107 : Case 289104 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and gout. He passed away at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor.

Death #1108 : Case 293403 was a 59 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, gout and chronic kidney disease. His body was brought to the Kuching General Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1109 : Case 289534 was a 61 year-old foreign female, whose body was brought to the KL Hospital.

Death #1110 : Case 289537 was a 44 year-old foreign male, whose body was brought to the KL Hospital.

Death #1111 : Case 289538 was a 36 year-old foreign male, whose body was brought to the KL Hospital.

 

Day 45 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 45th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 4 March, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
